This painting was inspired by a day spent riding bicycles in Lucca, Italy. My daughter was entranced with all the colorful graffiti on some of the old walls, so I indicated it here in the background.

Painfully shy as a child, Jen was unable to communicate with anyone outside her family except through drawing.
